25th Anniversary Gathering of The Vine

So that the world may know….
We live in a deeply divided time. Our churches and our culture are polarized. In this climate, a group of committed Christ followers sense a call to gather again and testify to the good God is doing in the world and to encourage one in another to bring forth His goodness in new and imaginative ways. We believe this will be a significant gathering. There are seeds to be sown and relationships to be rekindled for the good of human flourishing and Christian witness. Vine participants always believed in the power of Christ-centered relationships to be a transforming presence in the world, and we are asking what our role is in unifying and healing our church and nation at this moment.
Join this 25th Anniversary Gathering
Those invited are artists, theologians, homemakers, writers, CEOs, philosophers, teachers, lawyers, pastors and youth workers, tech gurus, international aid workers, doctors, and many more men and women who are living out their call to discipleship with Jesus in very significant ways, often going unnoticed.
It has been 25 years since we gathered. Our idealism is more realistic. Our faith is more tried and true.
There is an urgency to testify to the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
PLENARY & PANEL SESSIONS
Each morning and evening session, several participants will share their own journey of faith and the work in which they are involved around the theme of “Testify to the Goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living.”
Program Description: Relationships Through Intentional Dialogue
The Vine is unique in its participant-led philosophy. Based on the interests and experiences you describe on your registration form, you will be assigned to one or two panels. You will have no more than five minutes to present your view or share an experience related to the assigned topic. Four or five other panelists will also speak, followed by a time for questions and comments from the audience. If there is more to be discussed (as there most certainly will be), tables will be reserved during lunch for each panel to continue after the discussion.
Panel topics may include:
- Lessons Learned: A Note to my 25-Year Old Self
- Partnership in Practice: Working Together Across Differences
- Business Practices: Faithfulness in the Global Economy
- Forgiveness in an Age of Bitterness
- Reconstructing Faith in an Age of Deconstruction
- Perspectives on Presidential Politics
- Transformations: Communities that Make an Impact
- Standing on the Shoulders of Giants: What We can Learn from the Saints
- Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities
- The Imago Dei Amidst Transhumanism
- Rising Protests versus Sound Business: Faithful Responses to the Global Economy
- A Parents’ Roundtable: Faithfulness for the New Generation
SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS
A vital component to the gathering will be small regional groups made up of participants from various professions. These groups will help us go beyond simply appreciating, to more deeply understanding one another’s faith journeys and how we might offer hope and healing to our country in this cultural moment. Themes presented in the evening sessions will be further pursued in these small groups, allowing time for honest reflections.
WORSHIP
Each morning and evening session, several participants will share their own journey of faith and the work in which they are involved around the theme of “Testify to the Goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living.”
Worship and prayer will be vital components to the gathering. Through praise, reflection, and prayer we will focus upon the work that God did and continues to do through Jesus Christ. The worship will reflect the diverse traditions represented, while unifying us in the essentials. Participants may be asked to share in the leadership of certain components of the worship based on their traditions and talents.

AnnaMaria Pasley Horn
AnnaMaria Pasley-Horn was the break out singer from her family’s gospel singing group at the young age of 6 placing her on platforms and stages throughout South Florida. Surrendering her life to Christ her 9th grade year of high school set the path for her to become more than just a singer. She was compelled to use her gift of song to share the love and hope of Christ. It then became important to her to make sure that children and youth knew that living for Jesus at an early age is the coolest thing to ever do. Many opportunities presented themselves to AnnaMaria including training in performing arts. This equipped her to teach musical theater, voice and dance to youth in various states. After moving to Federal Way, WA she accepted a position at Hope Central as site director for after school program through a para church organization in Seattle called Urban Impact. Her employment planted the seed for AnnaMaria to become missional in her passions; using the arts to inspire children in urban communities. In 2003 she recorded her first CD titled “I Am” which made her an itinerant gospel singer across the US. This is how she was introduced to Brian Moss who not only invited her to be a guest singer at his church, but to also accompany him to The Vine gathering in Vale, Co. They collaborated for more worship events as the years moved along. After marrying her husband Darren in 2007, he became a part of the band as a keyboard player. Almost 20 years later, AnnaMaria is the mother to 5 children who travel with her leading worship across the US and most recently Europe. She and her children were featured performers with the Czech Symphony Orchestra in June of 2023. Still teaching the performing and technical arts in after school programs to students in the urban core of Lansing, MI. Her mission is still clear, raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
